Volunteering – 50+
Canadians are living longer and healthier than previous generationsdid, and may not feel ready to settle into a traditional retirement lifestyle. As a member of this generation with an entire career full of experience, we believe that you have the skills to make a difference in your community.
Volunteer Grandparents
Volunteer Grandparents matches people over the age of fifty with children that do not have the benefit of access to a grandparent or extended family.
Volunteer Grandparents promotes the value of intergenerational relationships for both the grandparent and grandchild. Grandparents allow grandchildren to grow emotionally and develop socially, with positive attitudes toward seniors. Grandparents benefit from social interaction becoming involved in healthy and active aging.
