  1. How do I create and post a new volunteer position in the database?
    First, you’ll have to pay your membership fees. Once you do that, your log-in information will be given to you. Then you can go to “Find Volunteers” on www.volunteerburnaby.ca and click “Post Volunteer Opportunities”. 

    Once you’re logged in, you can click [+] New in the corner of the Volunteer Opportunities section on your Dashboard.
  1. How long will the volunteer positions remain active in the database before they expire or need to be reposted?
    You are required to choose an expiry date when you post job opportunities. As you go through the process of finding the right volunteer, you can update the status of the posting yourself. 
  1. Can I edit or update the volunteer position details after it has been posted?
    Yes. There is a manage button on the side of each opportunity in the list on your Dashboard.
  1. Can I communicate directly with the applicants through the volunteer position database?
    Yes, you can request an interview with the applicants directly on the database and update the status of each of the applications. You are also given access to the applicant email addresses of the applicants to continue communicating with them outside of the database.
