The 7th Annual Volunteer Management Hybrid Conference is less that 2 months away, and Volunteer Burnaby is excited to collaborate with Volunteer BC, Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada, and the City of Burnaby to officially co-host this conference happening on October 19th. The link to register can be found here.
Leading up to the conference, we will feature the incredible speakers to give you a sneak peek of what you can expect to learn at the conference.
Tanya is a fundraising champion and leader, who has raised millions for Canadian charities such as the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. Throughout her career, Tanya has had the opportunity to work with volunteers of all leadership levels, and of diverse backgrounds. She recognizes the importance of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the non-profit sector, especially at the board and governance level.
She is looking forward to creating a dialogue on these important, yet complex topics. During her session, she will be sharing tactics and strategies on how to use the right vocabulary and lexicon to properly communicate with volunteers to help them feel welcome and included.
