Volunteer Burnaby endeavors to offer learning and professional development opportunities for all levels of the non-profit sector. Our online courses, web-seminars and in-person workshops are designed to help the managers of volunteers and executives to achieve their full leadership potential.

These are our on-going learning opportunities:

Volunteer Resources Administrators Online Training – is a self directed in depth 4 course program to prepare you for a leadership role in the voluntary sector. Each lesson is followed by a a quiz that will lead you to the next lesson once a minimum 80% accuracy is achieved. You will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement of Administration of Volunteer Resources Online Training. This does not substitute the Council of Volunteer Administration Certification through the Volunteer Management Professionals of Canada; our training makes it easier for you to pursue that Volunteer Administrators Certification.

Web-seminars – We are proud to offer facilitated training in the comfort of your own desk or mobile device. Our webinars cover all topics related to the voluntary sector capacity building, leadership development. program management and evaluation and professional and personal development.

Workshops – We count with a very comfortable fully equipped training room that lets you make the most of your learning experience during our in-person workshops. We also endeavor to engage professional facilitators with relevant knowledge and experience. Besides learning from the material offered, you get the opportunity to dialogue and listen to other participants about their own experience on the field and out f the field of non-profit management.
